Darren ferguson says he expects alcock to join us. hopefully as back up to brayford.
1.) Reckon if we sign Alcock that is a strong indication that we can't (yet?) get Brayford.
Don't recall him standing out against us but his 'stats' look decent & I wasn't especially impressed with Freeman last season

Do we need Brayford? Flynn Alcock and Davies can all do a job there (not as good as Brayford admittedly tho!) But 1.5million could be better spent on what we really need which is another striker!

I know what your saying A81 we have enough players for that position but none of em as natural a wing back as Brayford who also bombs forward to give extra presence. Flynn can be utilized further forward now and Davies is better as an anchorman Sat back in midfield. And for all the Blades fans that wanted Brayford in clough has worked it for em. now back to Who would you want in as a striker??

Bolton have just taken rightback kevin mcnaughton from cardiff. This will end the chances of cardiff letting Brayford go :- (

Agreed porter has always worked hard and scored the occasional goal probably deserved a good run and never got one under clough. but how many striker's have had a good run under clough? Higdon has a great scoring record and also hasn't had a run, mcnulty is getting a run now and is doing ok
What game were you watching? Both Basham and mcgahey were solid no one had a bad game apart from murphy who was average. And higdon tired not surprisingly in the second half, Bristol are a good organised side who will challenge, if we played that game 3 times we would win 2 of them. There is little need to panic yet! Halford would be a useful addition

I would love to see this but I can't see it happening forest have spent lots of money and might want to offload some players. However Halford did bring down murphy for the penalty in the cup last year so is he past his best? where would he play?we need fullback cover and he played left wing under Blackwell and centreback and centre forward for forest in the last 2 seasons!

Blade 101 Hopefully Higdon will finish the chances and net us 15 to 20 this season. As for not needing a 20 goal striker Bristol city are bringing 2 to the lane on saturday. And I wish you had taken me up on the assambalonga bet! I am more comfortable now we have a proven goal scorer and mcnulty looks useful so heres hoping we have a positive season!

Ask Rotherham they are a championship team! They got promoted. Peterborough made the play offs. Coventry would have made the play offs without the 10 point deduction (and not selling leon clarke to wolves, who along with wilson both got more than 20 goals each! Last season. Hence the sale of both to now championship teams) Goal scoring is the hardest thing to do that's why striker's cost a premium! And as for Britt Assombalonga he won't be at peterboro by the end of this season I will take a bet on it if you want one lol. Maybe Craig Davies is the answer
